Christmas Scrapbook Page
Christmas Elves
This type of scrapbook page is quick and easy to do! The Cliptures clipart is imported into a layout program and scaled to size. Text is added and sized as well. The layout is printed and the edges of the printed page are trimmed off. A complimentary piece of paper is used to create a border for the page. Frames are cut for the photos and both the frames and photos are attached to the page.
Materials:
- Cliptures: Both images from Cliptures #16 Occasions 2
- Paper: White for printing layout, and green for background sheet.
- Paper cutter or straight edge ruler and craft knife for trimming inner layout sheet.
- Scrapbooking glue or adhesive.
- Decorative edge scrapbook scissors for cutting photo frames.
Directions:
1. Start a new document in your layout program.
2. Import the Happy Holidays image from Vol. 16 into your document. Scale it to about 3 1/4" tall and position it in the lower right area of the layout.
3. Import the elf image from Vol. 16. Scale it to about 3 1/2" tall and position it in the upper right area of the layout.
4. Add whatever text you like. (We used a font called Snow Cap. There are many similar fonts available on the internet.)
5. Change the color of the text to compliment the photo frame paper colors.
6. Print the layout on white paper.
7. Trim 3/8" or so from all 4 edges of the printed page.
8. Center and attach the trimmed page to a sheet of green background paper with scrapbook adhesive.
9. Cut frames for photos with decorative edge scissors.
10. Attach frames and photos to layout with scrapbook adhesive.
Tip! You can create shapes to use as temporary place holders for your photos. (See Temporary Shapes.)
