Scrapbook Page Ideas

Big Egg Hunt

This scrapbook page uses 2 sheets of layered paper for the background. The Cliptures clipart is imported into a layout program, scaled to size, and printed on white paper. The images are cut out from the printed sheets and, along with the photos, attached to the background sheets.

Note: Because of the size these images, we printed them on 2 pieces of paper. The eggs were printed on one page and the rabbit on a second. (See Paper Saver tip.)

Materials:

Easter Scrapbook Page Idea

-Cliptures: Clipart from Cliptures #48 Occasions 6

- Paper: White for printing images, blue for background sheet and violet or lavender for the inner background sheet.

- Scrapbooking glue or adhesive.

- Craft knife and cutting mat for trimming the images and cutting out the photo frames.

- Paper cutter or straight edge ruler for trimming inner layout sheet.

Directions:
1. Start a new document in your layout program.

2. Import the horizontal egg (Easter 05) image. Scale it to about 5.9" wide. Place it in the upper right corner of the page.

3. Import the vertical egg (Easter 06) image. Scale it to about 6" tall. Place it in the lower left corner of the page.

4. Print the layout with the 2 eggs on white paper. (See Proofing tip.)

5. Start a new document in your layout program.

6. Import the easter bunny image into the new layout and scale it to about 5 3/4" tall

7. Print the layout with the bunny on white paper. (See Proofing tip.)

8. Using a craft knife and cutting mat, or scissors, cut out the eggs and rabbit images leaving an even amount of white space all the way around each image. (This is much easier than trying to trim right up to the edges and it creates a nice design too!)

9. Again, using your craft knife and cutting mat, cut the openings out of the eggs for your photographs.

10. Cut the inner background sheet of paper to 7 1/2" by 10", center, and attach to the border background sheet.

11. Trim the photos to their final sizes and attach them to the backs of the eggs.

12. Arrange and attach all of the elements to the background sheets with scrapbook adhesive.

That's it!
