Digital Scrapbooking Page Ideas
Goblins on the Loose!
This scrapbook page can be done almost entirely on the computer! The Cliptures clipart is imported, sized, and positioned. Text is added and the layout is printed. The layout can be used as is, or, the unprinted edges can be trimmed off and the trimmed page attached to a sheet of colored background paper.
Note: The blue rectangles in the sample show where the photos go. They're not part of the actual Cliptures images.
Materials:
- Cliptures: Ghost from Cliptures #29 Occasions 4, Skeleton from Cliptures #16 Occasions 3
- Paper: White for printing layout, and purple for background sheet.
- Scrapbooking glue or adhesive.
- Paper cutter or straight edge ruler for trimming inner layout sheet.
Directions:
1. Start a new document in your layout program. Change the background color of the layout to orange. (If your program won't let you change the background color of the page, see Adding a Background Color.)
2. Import the ghost from Vol. 29 into your document. Scale it to about 5 1/2" tall and position it in the upper right corner of the layout.
3. Make a duplicate of the ghost and flip it. (See Duplicating Images tip.) Position the second ghost in the lower left corner of the page.
4. Import the skeleton from Vol. 16. Scale it to about 4 1/4" tall and position it in the lower right corner of the layout.
5. Add your text to the layout. Black text works well for this spooky design!
6. Print the layout on white paper.
7. Trim the unprinted edges from the page.
8. Center and attach the trimmed layout onto the background paper with scrapbook adhesive.
9. Trim and attach your photos to the front of ghosts in the areas shown.
Note: Another option would be to cut holes in the ghosts for you photos and attach the photos to the back of the layout page before attaching the layout page to the background sheet. This could possibly save having to cut your photos!
That's it!
