Digital Scrapbook Page Ideas
Teddy Bear Referee
This scrapbook page uses 2 sheets of layered paper for the background. The Cliptures clip art is imported into a layout program, scaled to size, and printed on white paper. The images are cut out from the printed sheet and, along with the photos, attached to the background sheets.
Materials:
- Cliptures: Clip art from Cliptures #32 Fun Accents 3
- Decorative edge scrapbook scissors for cutting photo frames.
- Craft knife and cutting mat for trimming the images.
- Paper cutter or straight edge ruler for trimming inner layout sheet.
- Paper: White for printing images, dark green for background sheet, light green for the inner background sheet, and purple for the photo frames.
- Scrapbooking glue or adhesive.
Note: Because the clip art is cut out from the printed paper, their positioning in the layout program isn't particularly important. What is important is to scale them to the size you want and to arrange them so that they can all be printed on a single sheet of paper. (See Paper Saver tip.)
Directions:
1. Start a new document in your layout program.
2. Import the teddy bear soccer ref from Vol. 32 into your document and scale it to about 3 1/4" tall.
3. Import the double soccer ball image into your document and scale it to about 1 1/4" tall
.
4. Import the single soccer ball image into your document and scale it to about 1 1/4" tall
.
5. Space the images apart in your layout and add any text headlines or other images you might like.
.
6. Print the layout on white paper. (See Proofing tip.)
7. Using a craft knife and cutting mat, or scissors, trim the images leaving an even amount of white space all the way around each image. (This is much easier than trying to trim right up to the edges and it creates a nice design too!)
8. Cut the inner background sheet of paper to 7 1/2" by 10", center, and attach to the border background sheet.
9. Trim your photos to their final sizes.
10. Cut the frames for the photos with decorative edge scissors.
11. Arrange and attach all of the elements to the background sheets with scrapbook adhesive.
That's it!
